South Florida Hires Orlando Antigua Of Kentucky As Head Coach

Orlando Antigua has accepted the head coaching position at South Florida.

Antigua is an assistant coach at Kentucky.

Antigua played collegiately at Pittsburgh and joined John Calipari's coaching staff at Memphis in 2008.

South Florida Pulls Offer To Steve Masiello Because He Never Graduated

Steve Masiello's offer from South Florida has been pulled after it was learned that he never actually graduated from the University of Kentucky.

Tuesday morning, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported Masiello had been offered and verbally accepted a five-year deal worth more than $1 million a year to become USF's coach.

Masiello attended Kentucky from the fall of 1996 until the summer of 2000 but never earned his degree.

Masiello is the head coach at Manhattan.

Florida defeated Kentucky by a final score of 61-60 to win the 2014 SEC Tournament.

Scottie Wilbekin was named Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by Patric Young, Michael Frazier, Julius Randle, Aaron Harrison and Jarnell Stokes.

Scottie Wilbekin of Florida has been named SEC Player of the Year.

Wilbekin was joined on the First Team All-SEC by Jabari Brown, Jordan McRae, Johnny O'Bryant, Casey Prather, Julius Randle, Trevor Releford and Jarnell Stokes.

Randle was also named Freshman of the Year.

On the Second Team All-SEC are Jordan Clarkson, Chris Denson, Marshall Henderson, Charles Mann, Jordan Mickey, Rod Odom, Bobby Portis, Jarvis Summer, James Young and Patric Young.

Young was also named Defensive Player of the Year.

On the SEC All-Defensive Team along with Young are Willie Cauley-Stein, Jordan Mickey, Josh Richardson and Scottie Wilbekin.

Joining Randle on the SEC All-Freshman Team by Shannon Hale, Damian Jones, Jarrell Martin, Jordan Mickey, Bobby Portis, Sindarius Thornwell and James Young.
